Update from Cyclone Phet 7th June 2010

Cyclone Phet was supposed to have hit as a Cat 5, fortunately it landed as a Cat 1.

The centre survived (unlike with Gono 2007) with only wet carpets! The beach has been cleaned by the sea so it is looking rather nice!

Thanks to you all for the voices of concern and well wishes, we appreciate the concern you have for the centre.

Paul would like to thank the staff for their hard work removing the shop contents to higher ground and to Sandra and Gary for volunteering their services and helping with the move.

Let us hope there are no more Cyclones, and here is to some good diving over the weekend.

Instructor Exams April 2010

Well done to our 5 Instructor candidates, Steve, Phil, Gary Sama and Karl.

They had 5 long days and nights on their IDC and then 2 long days of exams in Dubai.

They all achieved great results and put in 100% effort and they all represented Divers Down well.

We all had a great day and managed to laugh our way through the course, not surprising when you have 5 men and two manikins in one room!
