My Dad had me sailing from the age of 5 in the Baltic Sea, he was based in Germany with the Army and was an Instructor at Kiel yacht club, it was this that made me love the sea.

I went to boarding school were I learnt canoeing and sailing with the RYA, and had my own dingy when we lived in Poole, so again I was always on the sea.

When I was in the Marines a friend let me try his gear and go for a dive whilst our ship was in Barbados, I loved it. I was lucky enough to get a dive course in 1989 because of the work I was doing at the time and that was when I really got into diving.

I started my PADI courses in 1999 as I knew I wanted to teach diving when I left the Marines. In 2001 I went Pro and here I am 9 years later with my own resort - in fact 2 resorts!
